File Commands

Create a new data window	Control + N
Open a sound file into a new data window.	Control + O
Save modified sound data back to the file.	Control + S
Close the active data window.	Control + W
Exit Sound Forge.	Alt + F4

Data Window Management

Set input focus to the waveform display in the active window.	Alt + 0
Set input focus to the Regions List. The following shortcut keys (Alt+1 through Alt+7) set input focus only. If the interface element is not visible, the shortcut key will display the element and bring it into focus, but will not hide the element if pressed again.	Alt + 1
Set input focus to the Playlist/Cutlist.	Alt + 2
Set input focus to the MIDI Keyboard window.	Alt + 3
Set focus to the Time Display window.	Alt + 4
Set focus to the Video Preview window.	Alt + 5
Set focus to the Play Meter window.	Alt + 6
Set input focus to the Undo/Redo History window.	Alt + 7
Restore the Sound Forge application window.	Alt + F5

Edit Commands

Select all data in the active window.	Control + A
Copy the selected data onto the clipboard.	Control + C
Paste the clipboard contents into a new data window.	Control + E
Crossfade data from the clipboard with the active window.	Control + F
Preview Cut or Clear in the active window.	Control + K
Play to cursor with pre-roll.	Control + Shift + K
Mix data from the clipboard with the active window.	Control + M
Trim (crop) to the current selection.	Control + T
Toggle Undo buffer creation for the active window.	Control + U
Paste data from the clipboard into the active window.	Control + V
Move (cut) the selected data onto the clipboard.	Control + X
Repeat last process, effect or tool.	Control + Y
Undo the last action.	Control + Z
Redo the last undone action.	Control + Shift + Z
Clear (delete) the selected data; nothing will be placed on the clipboard.	Delete

ACID Loop Creation Tools

Shift current selection to the left by the length of the selection.	< (less than)
Shift current selection to the right by the length of the selection.	> (greater than)

Move 10% of the current view prior to the cursor position.	Page Up
Move 10% of the current view past the cursor position.	Page Down

Move 10 pixels past the cursor position. Go to the next region, loop or marker boundary (if regions, loops, or markers exist in the file).	Control + Right Arrow

Selecting Data

Select from the cursor to the next screen pixel.	Shift + Right Arrow

Select from the cursor to the first sample visible in the waveform display.	Shift + Home

Navigation and Playback

Save a view in cell <Number> where <Number> ranges from 1 to 8.	Control + <number>
Restore a view using cell <Number> where <Number> ranges from 1 to 8.	<number>
Increase time magnification (zoom in closer to data).	Up Arrow
Decrease time magnification (zoom out farther from data).	Down Arrow
Increase level magnification.	Shift + Up Arrow
Decrease level magnification.	Shift + Down Arrow
Zoom to selection if a selection exists; otherwise Zoom In Full.	Control + Up Arrow
Zoom Normal (zooms to default zoom ratio set in Preferences)	Control + Down Arrow
Pan data window up if zoomed in vertically.	Control + Shift + Up Arrow
Pan data window down if zoomed in vertically.	Control + Shift + Down Arrow
Switch cursor to opposite end of selection.	Control + Numpad 5
Set Mark In at the current cursor position.	[ (Left Bracket) or I
Set Mark Out at the current cursor position.	] (Right Bracket) or O
Place a marker at the current cursor position.	M
Play or Stop the contents of the data window in default mode.	Spacebar
